My coworker added me on facebook. Is it okay for me to add him on instagram?

I've known him for like 2 years now, worked together superficially. Having more meetings with him nowadays. He lives/works in another city (2 hrs from where I live), working for the same company. He works together with one my friend, so we had a launch together, and get to talk for an hour. On the way back he told my friend that he didn't know i was that cool/nice and friended me on facebook tha day after. Is it okay for me to add him on instagram (after a week) , or is it too straight forward that I fancy him?

It's perfectly fine to add your coworker on Instagram if you feel comfortable doing so. Adding someone on social media doesn't necessarily mean that you have romantic feelings for them. It could simply be a way to stay connected and keep up with each other's lives. If you're worried about sending the wrong signal, you could always send a message along with the friend request to explain that you're just looking to expand your network and stay in touch with colleagues. Ultimately, the decision is up to you and what you feel comfortable with.
