Is this really accidental?

My guy friend has texted me twice on accident this. The first time he texted me “hey baby” then texted me it was an accident. Another month he texted me how’s your day baby but doesn’t say it’s an accident until I texted back.
He doesn’t have a girlfriend and he doesn’t have any girls from what he has told me.

If it's once, it's an accident. If it's twice or more, they're testing the waters to see how you react. They probably have romantic feelings for you, and trying to figure out whether your reciprocate these feelings back to them.
