Dating for men in 2023 is an absolute nightmare. I look at what I see on dating apps like Tinder, PoF, Upward, and see real life dating events (which go absolutely nowhere in the end), and it further disinterests me in bothering with it. I've reached 29 where 95% of my life was being single. I've got this, and I think I will continue being that way.

The women I encounter, compared to the women my grandfather encountered and dated, are only 1/4th of the quality that he had around in his day, and I have to qirk five times harder for women who aren't even great quality. So, why bother?

Yes, I enjoy getting to know a person. People say dating is difficult, but, relationships don't have to be once you find the right person that enhances/improves your life.

I think the majority of people are just not willing to put the effort into maintaining a friendship/relationship with someone.

We want more for less these days.

I enjoy dating my boyfriend 🙂 but prior to that I always hated meeting up with strangers that I met on apps. It was more enjoyable if it was someone I already knew whether through my circle of friends or if it was someone I met through a mutual hobby.

I am engaged now, and very committed, so my dating days are finished. When I was dating, I enjoyed it very much once I developed some confidence in myself. Meeting a potential new partner is exciting, challening, and fun.

I should have a good attitude if I want to improve my situation on this. But the truth is I don’t enjoy sticking my neck out (being expected to take all the risks) and dealing with selfish ungrateful flaky and often freeloading women early in the dating.

I have tried accepting the in most scenarios women enjoy huge advantages over in the early stages in dating. Sure they need to take time to look good and put on makeup. But for many of them they don’t have to do anything on a first date other than show up. But many women can’t even do that.

Not particularly... dating people super selectively and casually has made the experience better, but I wouldn't say that I'm enjoying myself overall, no.

I kinda just want to skip to the part where I lock my person down and we spend the rest of our lives together

Unfortunately the desire never goes away, but no because I've always hated and resented how men have always had to do all or most of the work when it comes to dating and it angers me whenever people in society say that men are not supposed to view it as work, that men are supposed to enjoy what's expected of us

It's a bit fuckin stressful to be honest. It usually doesn't go the way I'd like it to, it's awkward and I get ghosted 90% of the time afterwards. But other than that, I enjoy it!
