Is it bad to ask guy I used to date why he lost interest in me?

As I was dating him we didn’t meet up so much, and he wouldn’t text me much. I found him online on tinder and broke it off with him. It’s been a month since then. I want to know why he lost interest. How bad is it if I ask? How can I ask in a tactful way?

Understandable. But I think you'd be better served just moving on. Guys want to know this many times with women. You can't improve if you don't know what the problem was. But 1. Women will seldom tell you the truth. 2. The reality is it might have not been you at all but them.

Men generally are more forthright. But only because men are generally more direct. A guy might not tell you the truth simply because you want to know. I try to be honest. But honestly love is a battlefield. Any woman I've rejected I would want to tell the truth to. But most people don't want to know the truth. Most wouldn't believe it if you told them. And it's not always simple anyways. I can tell you from experience one woman I rejected from my youth I regret to this day. We're still friends, she took it much better than I would have. And she's happily married now. But we still have a good rapport. I know I still have feelings her. But I still couldn't put in to exact words why I turned her down. So I wouldn't want to re-open old wounds. But I'd like to tell her it was NOTHING she did.
This why I say don't worry about it. Just move on. Because odds are it ISN'T you anyhow. Odds are it's thier hangup.

No he’s not. He’s 31 and lives with his younger brother in his parents home (though his parents moved abroad)
