The VERY low match rate on Match really hurts my feelings?

I read all these women's profiles and write a thoughtful message... It tells me if they've read it. Almost none reply to me. I'm not unattractive, my profile should be appealing, and like 99% of them ignore me. It's just ridiculous.

I feel like this goes without saying but why put yourself in a position to be repeatedly hurt? Match isn’t a need, it’s a want, so you have total control over what you expose yourself to. If I were having a constant blow to my self esteem, I’d stop doing what hurt it. There’s worse in life than being single or lonely.

Why are you on match when you can walk out your front door and meet someone.

I'm kind of afraid to talk to women regularly. Feel like I need Dr. Hitch or something. :/ Unless they approach me first I rarely ever do. Unless it happens organically at an event.
