I happens dude. It just means you had no fucking clue what you were doing when you were dating. But nobody does--you have to learn.
The big lesson here is that you should ONLY ever get into a committed relationship with a girl you're REALLY attracted to physically. It's cool to date other girls, but you should never get into a relationship with them or give them the false hope that it's a long term thing if you're not super attracted to them because eventually something like this happens.
Beyond that, you also have to learn to tune out all the bullshit that the world will try to force down your throat like "it's not cool to have great boobs on your list of must haves for a partner!" And we all know the world WILL try to convince you of that. And it's true, you can't really SAY that to people in the world, but it can absolutely be true and it's not a problem.
This is one area where there's absolutely a double standard out there. I knew a girl in college--great girl: pretty, smart, super high morals, great personality. But like many girls an absolute requirement for her to date a guy is that he be TALL. In her case this ruled out a LOT of guys because she was at least 6'0". But she could be VERY open about this dating requirement to anyone and no one would see it as a problem even if she mentioned this criteria in front of dudes who were clearly disqualified by her criteria.
ON THE OTHER HAND, I could never mention in front of people that I absolutely need a girl with spectacular breasts. And I could CERTAINLY never say that in front of this girl as she was flat as a board. She had a great body otherwise--fit and thin with great legs (she was tall after all!) but she had NOTHING going on up top. If we were in a group and I mentioned my love of big tits I'd be seen as a complete piece of shit for 1) saying that in front of her (given her obvious lack of endowment), but even 2) having that opinion to begin with. But she could (and did!) mention to other people and in groups that she'd only date a taller guy and no one thought anything of it.
People are funny. Society is funny. And it gets funnier all the time. You can't get mad at it, but you don't have to buy into it either. Just notice what's true, stick to your view of things and be mindful about when, where and to whom you voice your real opinions.

Not sure if I'd say bad. But that's a dick move. And, very short-sighted on your part. I'd rather spend time with a wonderful woman than a set of large boobs. Maybe you lucked out and got both. BUT... it says something about your character that you preferred looks and body to the person.
