Best first date ever is?

For me, the best first date is one that gives us an opportunity to talk, become acquainted, relax a bit, and it doesn't last too long. My usual first date was (I'm engaged now) a dinner date at a relatively nice restaurant, with an after-dinner drink in the restaurant's lounge afterwards.

My now fiance surprised me and loaded his suv with snacks. Blankets and pillows. Then took me to a drive in movie. Best date ever!

Although our 1st date he asked if I wanted to come with him to pick up a truck he just bought at 9pm.. took me down a dirt road with no street lights to a field with an old Ford truck sitting there... then he couldn't get it to start lol...(before I went, I asked about him to all our mutual friends we have, for about a week before this.. they gave the okay) lol

Meeting in the park, or going to the beach. Not a coffee shop, and certainly NOT 'Starbucks'!

Not a meetup for coffee, that's for sure. For me, it was touring a castle, enjoying a picnic next to a lake and then scoring!

I’d say nothing that costs too much don’t go all out just yet and also somewhere that doesn’t take all the attention off of you 2 like the movies would be bad. If she doesn’t want to go on any cheap dates then forget her
