My ex was 187 and I am 160, at some point 2.5 years into relationship he told me he was worried our kids would never become basketball players, his cousin played in NBA. I felt really sad he said that and he also told me before meeting me he always liked taller girls, 170 cm and taller, he liked their legs a lot.

Asia doesn't have developed countries. One of the main reasons short men exist is because short women give birth to them. In developed countries many women are at least 5'4. It is more rare for a man to be the same height as his mother and sometimes being 1 - 3 inches is rare too. Most short men are the height of women in developed countries so by that logic most women in developed countries inevitably won't give birth to short men

There are several developed countries in Asia, but most are developing countries. The children of developed countries are not usually taller than their parents because they have already reached their full genetic potential. The only way for a child to be taller than their father is if the mother is less than eight centimeters shorter than the father. Men will never be the same height as their mothers because women have shorter stature due to sexual dimorphism, which causes them to stop growing earlier than men. The only way for a child to be shorter than their mother is if the father is more than 12 centimeters shorter than the mother.

It is true that the main cause of short men is because of their short mothers, in fact the United States is the only developed country where today's young people are shorter than 20-year-olds, many blame Mexican women, but in reality the main culprits with the Filipino women, who are horrible hobbits of 150, 140, and I have even seen some of 130 cm.

I don't think nutrition has much of an impact now that it has several hundred years ago. As a species we've moved past the point I'm which nutrition affects height the most and its more genetically based but yeah that's like the same as what you said. A lot of short women seem to think that going for a taller guy means taller kids. Literally every short man I know of has a son much taller than him and I've seen some with sons 6'0+. Got an uncle whose my height at 5'4 his wife isn't even average height and is only like 5'1/5'2. Their son is probably like 5'11. My older sister is like 4'10 and her husband is a foot taller than her. My nephew is very short and is probably not gonna be any taller than 5'5. I also read something somewhere that men that do have partners closer to their height can potentially have average height and tall kids.

There are cases where the female dwarf is heterozygous or homozygous recessive, and thus her genes disappear, as in the case of Drake's mother.
