What is commonly accepted is that we learn to identify positive, and negative, traits from the people closest to us in life. Often family. And so because my sisters have me and my father as a frame of reference they are more likely to date men with overlapping good qualities, and absent our bad ones. It isn't as of they are trying to date us though. They just got good at spotting some traits.
