Guys tend to like girls that remind them of their mom, and girls tend to like guys who remind them of their dad?

I don't think people willingly seek a partner that reminds them of their mom/dad, but I think that people learn most of what they know about relationships from observing their parents. That probably sticks with us in some way and influences the type of person we choose to be with. For example if your parents fight a lot but are clearly still in love, you might be more willing to tolerate a partner who argues with you because you saw that it worked for your parents. People who never really saw their parents fight might interpret any little argument as a sign that things won't work out.

No,not always.I don't want to be with a guy who is anything like my dad.I won't put why but I'll be damned if I go through what my dad put my mom through.My friends say I have bad taste...I tend to like guys who are original.Meaning not wanna be cholo's,not wanna be thugs,not guys who are stupid or who play games.

well I have to say and I know my fiance would agree with me I am nothing like his mother and I doubt he would ever be with someone that reminded him of his mother. Same with me I would leave any guy that was like my father. But we both have horrible relationships with our parents.

I would say maybe half the time. My boyfriend reminds me a lot of my dad sometimes. But I'm not too sure if I remind my boyfriend of his mother
