He's being passive aggressive, maybe he actually feels that way, but it's meant to be a manipulative behavior. Since you two are both young I can see why he wouldn't learn right there.

It won't work long term though, when men cry in front of women, or even better flaunt it, y'all dry up like jellyfish in the sun. If he's feeling that bad about the arguments you two have, and like it's your fault, he should, and would just get out of the relationship.

Maybe tell him to get help, or find someone else if it's that bad. You only learn the right strategies when bad ones fail. If he's hot enough then he could get away with terrible strategies for a good while though.
