Why do people loose interest in the idea of being in a relationship?

I started hating the idea of love, as it brings in irritation. Looking at all the guys I have dated, I feel it like a joke, like what was I even thinking then?

I just answered this on another question.😆 A woman's standards and expectations COMPLETELY changes for that man the minute she starts dating him. Everything he does and does not do will be deeply scrutinized by her. No decent guy with an ounce of sense gets involved with a woman unless he has deep feelings for her. Because he KNOWS the minute he does he just boarded the emotional roller coaster that is woman. It is infinitely easier to just stay friends.

This is why so many people today choose friends with benefits. In thier mind they think it alleviates them the responsibility of "feelings". But the reality is this only gives them plausible deniability. They know they can always say, "we're not in a relationship remember". But 2 people that f*** on the regular and one of them never developing feelings at some point virtually NEVER happens. So as I said. This only give them deniability. No relationship, platonic or otherwise is completely devoid of feelings. Just one has less perceived responsibility than the other. And as we know today. People love to shirk responsibility where ever possible.

If you have a good acceptable past, good morals, are decently attractive, then you can get a good partner, but you can't choose the same kind of person each time or you will get the same results.

I still think a relationship is key to a happy life. It can be wonderful if you have someone who cares for you. Not just for the financial support but also for your mental health. Finding the right person to procreate with is the hardest thing most people will ever do.
