Why do people offer to do things for you just to use whatever they did for you, at their own will, against you?

Like they pretend to be kind and then when something little goes wrong within the proximity of that so called “kindness” they they throw it all back in your face and then you have to feel guilty when you say “I didn’t ask you to do it.”

Yea. My seven month old just started Daycare and I don’t drive but I make sure to budget my money around Ubers and Lyfts. My plan was for me to take my baby to day care and pick him up. I took him to day care but my mom offered to pick him up. I ended up staying over at work just to get extra money. Which doesn’t hurt to do that considering I do have a child. I didn’t see the big deal in it until I got back to the house and the first thing my mom says is “Why would you stay at work that long? Nobody wants to keep your child all day.” Mind you he was in day care most of the day so she had only had him for a hour at the least. Then she goes “I didn’t have to go get him. You’re selfish.” How am I the selfish one? Are you not listening to what you just told me? Lol it’s like everything I do is wrong even when it’s right.

To be fair u could have said u was gonna stay late as saying she will pick him up don't mean she wanted to stay with him for a hour meh seems like u know for next time don't accept the help

You’re absolutely right I apologized for that part but to call me selfish is a bit overboard especially when you’re the one throwing what you offered to do back in my face because of a tiny problem but, like you said, next time I know not to accept. People rarely do anything to genuinely be kind.
