Girls, I am only attracted to women who are OVER the age of 25, but they all seem too damaged to date. What am I supposed to do?

I have an extremely tough time being sexually attracted to young women. They just don't appeal to me, sexually.

The women that do appeal to me usually have a bunch of emotional baggage from experiences with men earlier in life. This makes forming a connection extremely difficult, and when the connection does happen, these same women usually do the same immature stuff that younger women would.

So basically, it's the same treatment, with more work.

It would be a lot easier to date women who don't have that trauma from prior relationships. I don't see young women in a sexual light though... Do I just hold out with the hopes I find an age-appropriate woman who isn't a psychological trainwreck?

not every older women is damaged maybe it is what you attract? not all of us have kids or ex drama, drinking problems or cheaters either, i work in healthcare i see trainwrecks of all ages, so i think its a lot of people jump from relationship to relationship instead of working through their own problems first and its men and woman. the smart ones and logical ones sit back single waiting to find the decent match for their life.

What about seeking recent college graduate type? Like the ones that focused more on getting through school and not as much on dating?

I see your predicament though. I wouldn't give up. Yes, there are women in the 25-30 year old range that have had troubled relationships, but there are definitely some that are mature enough to let that baggage go.

Don't know if you still want answers to this q because it's older, but it's a good/valid q.

Don't date beneath you in terms of maturity. If you're a sane, reasonably intelligent guy, and you want a partner and someone who can keep up with you mentally, be stimulating not just physically but also psychologically, then don't compromise on this.

The thing is, everyone carries baggage. If you date someone young, they're going to be still talking about their relationship to their parents. Their friends matter a lot, and are very influential. They look to society, social media, 'influencers' etc. to help them decide what's cool, what they like, and what to do with their life. If you date older, they're going to have scars, battle wounds, more likely, yes. But they will have also learned from them. They may get more narrow in their views, having had and taken the time to explore more things. They may seem less open and malleable. But I've seen a definite trend with young people today (in their twenties) thinking that just because they HAVE the internet, and access to information more readily than ever before, they are also more in the know. And that ain't true. Being self-righteous when young is not attractive. So, point is, any age can be narrow-minded. And any age can be attractive to others.

Brad Pitt just turned 60 this week. I've read a lot of interviews with him over the years. He's a much more interesting, kind, fun, playful, and introspective guy now, at this age. Although he's tired, and phasing out of acting (I'm in mourning about this), as he doesn't like night shoots, etc., (really, Brad?), he also says that he would never trade his age for wisdom. The latter is better.

Everyone gets old, body parts sag, etc., but if you want to be fulfilled, find your equal. Find what's inside them. Any ages (well, not all but many) can come together and inspire and help and have fun with each other. It can be fun, travelling through experiences together. "Damage" can happen at any age, young or old. Don't count anyone out.
