Why would someone do this?

I’ve been dating this guy for 3 months and we’ve gone on a lot of dates and had a lot of conversations about family life etc.

I remember him telling me on our first date his sister worked with special needs kids and at one point I told him that my baby’s father is a criminal defense lawyer.

our 8th date together we were talking and he says that his sister was studying to be a criminal defense lawyer and I remembered that he originally said she worked with kids so I look her up on Facebook to see and sure enough she works with kids.

why would someone change their own story to match mine?

I don't see why a person could have a job working with kids and also be studying to change careers. Its good to be perceptive, but unless there's some trend of deceit and lying going on, it's probably safe to just assume she's studying while working.

I dk. but, i feel like the girl i like, that likes me, will often reply with the same answers as me, just to "please me"

For example, i don't want marriage or kids, and she says "nor do i". So, i'm wondering if i changed my mind, would she all the sudden, change her mind
