Not a good idea because if you two don't work out, she's now your ex. Meanwhile your dad could become closer or even get married to her mom. Now you're in a situation where your ex is showing up to family holidays for the next 30 years. And she always knows how to find out where you live, who you're with, your phone number & so on. It's NOTHING like what happens if you dated someone without a close family connection.

And you're 25-29 right now. You both probably have a list of exes already. You're both experts in breaking relationships? Or at least one of you is. This makes it more likely that the relationship you try now is going to go bust too. Sorry, just how it is. If you were 18-22 and both of you were 100% interested in long term and the type who get all loyal/thinking you're soul mates I'd have a different opinion.

Sometimes you just gotta have self control in life. For example if your best friend's hot girlfriend/wife tries to flirt with you: you keep it moving. You don't jump on it.

Do it! The ick of most step-sibling relationships is the blurring of family and romance, which is obviously a massive ick. But right now you're not family at all. Then if you do become family while in a relationship, (instead of becoming family before the relationship, which would be the ick), it would be similar to getting married in terms of relationship status, but obviously a bit different lol.
