Why are dating profiles incredibly unappealing to browse for a prospective boyfriend?

They look like they are asking for help and looks like they are asking for a job.
They also appear to be in need and I really don’t want to put up with someone that’s just gonna be exhausting me. Too bad they aren’t presenting themselves as patient and polite, then I’d be interested in clicking on one. It feels like I’m looking through grown children that other mothers didn’t want to raise. Simply not appealing and definitely not attractive.

I feel the same looking at women's profiles, if they even have one because they think their pretty pictures are good enough to supplement an actual personality.

The rest of them go on about how they're mentally ill but it's a positive apparently? Or they'll make unrealistic demands of guys, expecting to crazy everything just given to them. Sad really.

Have you tried multiple sites? Its possible there is a difference in which people show up there.
