One that
1. Women are usually open to being approached at
2. Wouldn't require spending money going back to repeatedly (the odds of meeting someone in one go is extremely small)
3. Is not online
4. Is a place where you would find someone that sticks around/is looking for a relationship

Museums / art galleries (not far for me https://www.visitlagunabeach.com/blog/your-guide-to-first-thursdays-art-walk/ ), volunteering, ball room dancing classes (can be very inexpensive at community colleges.
What kind of places do you volunteer at? I've been volunteering for every week 1.5 years for a mix of charities. Not a single date from that.
Animal shelters/rehab centers
Now this might seem like a dumb question, but how long did you wait before asking someone out there. I can't imagine it would look so good if you show up and ask someone out on the first day
Homeless ministries. Anyplace that helps the disadvantaged. There you can be reasonably assured that she is not self-absorbed.
As for waiting, just be natural. I would on a first meeting if the opportunity presented itself. Doesn't have to be a major event. See if she wants to grab some coffee.
Yeah a few times it'd be the first day... just kinda gotta read the room.
Charity events and museums have been good for me. Really any group activity where you are going to have common interests and for lack of a better term... forced time together.
Anything better for people in their 20's?
That's where I was going in my 20s. Participate in the local races if you have that. Don't have to be fast. I do mine in body armor so I'm certainly not fast. Still an hour together. I mean if you just want some bar rat go to a bar... you said you wanted a woman who wanted to be approached... all those places satisfy that.
Where I'm at the charity events don't have people in their 20's :(
weekend 5ks then... added bonus, lots of fit women there.
