The reason why I am dating her is because she is a great woman and we have a lot in common in terms of values, goals and communication. Something that I found borderline impossible with a lot of women my age. A lot of women my age don't spare me much of a look and are terrible with being upfront and opt for being ghosts and indirect and don't respect boundaries. So that has been my experience with women my age. We are both consenting adults, her parents love me and she tells me constantly that I am great and I treat her right.

The reason why relationships with huge age differences tend to be so uncommon is because
firstly, 40 something yr old men are not as attractive as 30 something yr old men. Secondly, the typical average 40 yr old will tend to have little to nothing in common with the typical 22 yr old. Thirdly, Young people are looking for someone they can grow old with. You can't grow old with someone who is already old.
