Being in a relationship REQUIRES compromising and making sacrifices - this is true of EVERYONE and ALL relationships. No one is exempt.
If you aren't willing to make compromises and sacrifices, then you are best off remaining single. Of course, as you get older, being single is harder and harder. The demands of the world never let up - your job sucks, your bills are due, the roof leaks, the car breaks down, your loved ones get sick and die, etc. Going through all of that alone is pretty tragic and also quite difficult, but some people prefer that over having to make some compromises.
It's your life, and you can choose to live it how you want, but there will be consequences to every choice you make, some good and some bad. And you won't be able to avoid or escape the bad ones, so you should have a solid understanding of the likely consequences of whatever choices you make, because if you don't, you probably won't like the results.

Men adapted to whatever they could get away with and women were brainwashed into free sex being on the tables (without marriage or courting). Once that occurred then it placed pressure on other women that didn't want that. For men, the ones that wanted 'free sex' continued but the ones that wanted commitment walked. Now it's the norm and chivalry is dead along with relationships and marriage. The only way to find a decent partner is if you are a true godly man or woman and have God ordered steps. Anything else will simply fail repeatedly because it is a fallen world.
You would feel like that if you treat it like a job interview. People attract who they deserve. Change your outlook and you will do better.
The problem is you treat finding a man like finding a job.
