Invited all my families up for the weekend. Hosted 15 people. Also our baby nephews 2nd bday… so lots of foods and cake and laughters and play. Mom who is 82 is very happy to have all her children, grandkids gathered in one place. Trying to get everyone to go on a cruise next year.

I called my mom. She lives a few hours car drive away. We went with cake to my mother in law though. Coffee, selfbaked cake and a chat bassically.

I'm not in contact with my own mom, so this day is kind of weird for me, and I assume for her too. I'm celebrating the mother I'm closest to by babysitting for her over dinner while a couple of our other friends take her out to her favorite restaurant.

The UK has Mother's Day back in March, but I made her feel special then, and try to as much as I can throughout the year.

Took her to have a mom/daughter pamper day. Got massages, facials, hair and mani pedis done. Then went out for some wine and a late lunch. She had a good day 😌
