Sadly, I just could not make. it down to be with my mom today! This is my first Mother’s Day that I have not been able to spend it with my mother. I feel awful, but mom was very understanding, and sweet. She thanked me for the call, let me know how much she loved and was proud of me, and I told her the same thing. I hate being so far from home, and I cannot wait until i’ve finished my masters, so I can transfer to UCF in Orlando, and be closer to my mom (and the rest of my family).

Calling my mom, calling my late husband's mom to wish them a Happy Mother's Day and visit. I don't take them out to a meal today because the restaurants are packed and it's nicer to wait until after the weekend.
My kids want to buy me a coffee at Starbucks, so we are headed that way shortly. They're adorable. <3

We're doing kabobs, watermelon, and potato salad for dinner. Then later on for dessert it's Reese ice cream blizzard cake. Oh, and giving gifts to mom.
