A guy and me getting to know each other. We met a few times, had so much fun together and also kissed each other. We also had a long phone call where he told me, that im so special, no one deserves romantic dates except me and something like that. Unfortunately we live far away. Now I saw that he updated his profile on bumble with new pictures. I don't know how to interpret this because we text now on other apps. Than I asked him friendly why he updated his profile. He said: because I look very handsome in the pictures, don't you think? I answered: of course, who are you upload that for? And he said: nobody that's as sweet as you. I answered: I know, it's hard to find someone special like me. Just kidding and have a nice day.
He reacts to the text with the laughing emoji and didn't answer anything (that's nothing new we text often like this and have "breaks") I don't know what I should think about the conversation and outgoing of my question.. what are you thinking and what would be kind of a right answer to my question why he updated the profile?

Well he obviously isn’t meaning what he is saying to you and you should never trust a man when he sprinkles stuff like “there’s no other girl like you” especially and more importantly after a first date. He is using manipulation to put you on a pedestal so you continue to buy into whatever agenda he is plastering into you which is definitely not a relationship
That's hard to hear.. especially because we had a long talk about relationships and the generation nowadays and we both search for something serious.. but yeah, I would only update my dating profile if I want to show me to the world and want new dates
@asker so you have your answer. He doesn’t want to be serious.
He is leading you on. Telling you what you want to hear and obviously doesn't mean it (doing terribly though), while still meeting other women. Id cut him off.
