My boyfriend isn’t a citizen is he using me for a green card? We met about a year ago He asked if I wanted to get married in the future but he said he doesn’t want me to think it’s for a green card.)

If that’s even a thought circulating in your mind then break up with him, you can find a man in your own country. We can’t tell you for sure what his intentions are, nor can you get back the year you invested but if I were you and feeling that uncertain, I’d rather not waste another.
