I don't have any. I could date a 6'5" guy or a 4'5" guy. Idc. Height doesn't make the man.

It's probably smth natural in their brain linking height with more attractiveness. And it's origin stems from the reason, like others said, better defence n all that. But I guess presently the world is more about brains.
I myself once had a good crush on a 5'4-ish guy too. It's just, his presence was the so lively, in a classroom. Everyone (all guys n girls teacher) liked him, cuz without him, the classes would be dull. He was a smart, quick-witted, humourous, well-mannered, simplistic friendly and kind person. Even, 2 girls apart from me, liked him in a 'crush' way, as I knew. I later told him that, to cheer him up once.. he was so shocked but still cool enough to laugh it off & take it in a fun way. Instead of an egoistic one. My brain doesn't feel the entitlement to hold such standards. And many girl's these days too...

When I was younger I used to joke about having to date taller otherwise I was going to mother the dwarven race. I never actually cared though since everyone is taller than me. I’ve just accepted at this point that my kids are going to be small whenever I reach that point since my boyfriend is 5’4 and I’m 4’11/5ft

It is strange. I'm a 5'4 man. I have met a ton of men much taller than me that are assholes and very weird. I'm not like then at all and they have this douchebag attitude. They seem to get women left and right. I've been single since the day I was born. Height doesn't make a man attractive. The minute a guy starts sending weird shit and acting like a buffoon when he's like 6'0+ that's when you know height really doesn't make a guy attractive.

Tall guys seem to have this kink of wanting to be with a woman That looks like their daughter and vice versa. Women are just as ignorant to actually go for these guys only to get knocked up and the guy ditching her. I'm just glad I'm not narrow minded as tall guys and women out there.

I personally want a woman taller than me but that’s gonna be hard to find, I’m 6’5 so finding a woman taller than me that isn’t already taken is basically impossible. Main reason is so I don’t have to break my neck looking down at them and they don’t need to break their neck looking up at me. I also got a friend that’s 7’ , feel sorry for the dude, needs custom everything. 6’ is probably the best height to be in my opinion (as I have been every height up to 6’5), not too tall but can still reach the top shelf.

Well, taller men had an easier time seeing predators and enemies in earlier human history, but today it's mostly that women want to get the best deal they can. My 5'9 sister complained that her second husband was "only" 5'11 (he's the shortest male in his family). He's a surgeon and they met in medical school, so you'd think his height would be irrelevant, but... it's illustrative.

On average men are a bit taller then women. They dated men taller then them but not with a big height difference a 5'2 woman would date at most a 5'5 man rarely a taller man.

Today however most women want to date a 6'0 man even very short women (I've seen once in the dating site profile of a 4'8 woman she will only date a 6'0 man).

I suspect Hollywood and social media have a lot to do with it.

So in the past short and average height men had more dating options.

Men who are 6'0 and taller are a minority in the USA, so most women will have to date men shorter then that or not date at all.

First off because that's one thing we are taught to value due to cultural influence, but most importantly it's because they just can. That's it. You can't stop people from finding certain things attractive or unattractive.

I am not crazy about hair color, I cannot go and ask girls who like blond hair why are they so crazy about it. I like green eyes, I have no answer for why other than the fact that I just find it appealing.

I don't think most women would even know if a guy was 5'10/5'11 and lied about being 6ft unless they actually measured him.
