Girls, if you like a guy and he asked you out after a year, would it be too late at that point?

It happened to me. A girl liked me, we never dated but her behavior and way of talking made me think she liked me. I didn't have the confidence to ask her out.

i messaged her a year later after overthinking a lot. I asked her out and she said “thanks for the confession, we can be good friends”. Later on she talked about me to someone else, and that person told me. The person said that the girl said “he is telling me that after 1 freaking year”.

Yeah I would go out with them if I were single and still interested. The second part is key. Sounds like this girl lost interest. Maybe she had an idea a year ago you liked her and waited and waited and then gave up. She moved on from the idea at some point. Everyone is different. Personally I'd probably give it a shot if I were single at the time and looking to date because why not?
