• He will out-of the blue tell you a problem you had your barely even knew and that he has solved it and is on his way to fix it (this is always so cute)
• Money, he will give you money even if you don't want it or expect it and will be very ashamed of taking or asking for money from you
• He will start projects with you because he is banking on you not going anywhere or feels secure that you will be around/he is sure he wants you around
• You know you are his woman in public and private
• Social media is a tricky thing so I won't include anything
• He doesn't ask you if you are talking to other guys but let's you know that he is taking himself off the "market". This shows comittment as opposed to mere possession.
• If he is really serious about say marriage, he won't be constantly on about it. This is a manipulation tactic. It will be short winded and he will be nervous about it because he really hopes you will be at that level.

And you're right - words mean little. If you really want to know what someone is thinking or what their intentions are, then pay attention to their actions. Clearly, his actions don't align with what you want.
