Honestly fuck you. You don’t give a shit about me. You just care about looking like a good person. Anyone else been told this? It feels like they’re saying you’ll find someone good enough for you even tho you ain’t good enough for me

I’ve been told that and in a big way I feel like it’s just some sort of consolation prize. I don’t think men even have to take it there, maybe it makes them feel better about the breakup. Anyway, it is what it is. If it’s over, then start accepting this so that you can move on and heal.
Why do you think he said that?
Because he feels sorry for or because he genuinely believes I deserve someone better? Or is it something else?
No I do not think he feels sorry, if anything there is guilt. That’s why I said his words are a consolation prize. I’m sorry, I’m sure you’re hurting but keep that “fuck him” energy! You’re gonna need it going forward.
Why would he feel guilty by the way?
Whys it matter?
I feel like you’ve posted about this before and if that’s the case, do you even really wanna heal? Because you are dwelling on irrelevant factors. No matter what he said or how he said it, bottom line is it’s over. If you want to drown yourself in misery and repeatedly debunking why you got broken up with then sure you can keep doing that to yourself but it’s counterproductive to healing. You think he’s wallowing around over you? Nope, he’s living his best life, probably already has another woman. That should piss you off.
Just tell him "obviously that's what breaking up means lol"
His words only matter until you're choosing to be bothered by them. He's your "ex"! Nothing he says/will do/be from the moment you both split.. should be a concern for you.
Rest, obv it's going hurt a lot internally. You'll have to learn to manage your emotions. Moving on is tough & breakups are mostly-always quite harsh
Maybe it hurts you so much because you are insecure and part of you thinks he is right.
Why do you think he said that?
Because he feels sorry for or because he genuinely believes I deserve someone better? Or is it something else?
