This cannot easily be compared across the gender divide. Women are generally desired more and people will make greater efforts to get them as a girlfriend. Personally, I would consider a black girlfriend (if I were available), but never a black boyfriend (or a boyfriend of any other ethnic background).

In online dating in the U. S. it has been found that the relative disadvantage of black women compared to other women is greater given that even black men statistically prefer Asian women and respond the least to black women. Conversely, black women prefer black men.
