Does guys in dating apps only looking for a sex instead of a long term relationship?

The guys that I got matched with always and always talks about sex all the time and it really turns me off as I'm not interested in having a sex with someone I date. I'm Catholic and I always wanted it to be special with my future husband and not with random guys I met on an online dating app. But I'm really disappointed that people give so much importance over sex rather than having a genuine connection and relationship. I did tell them that I'm uncomfortable to talk about sex or having a sex and I believe it only should happen with my further life partner. They were so disappointed and say that I'm outdated?

I disagree with most of the answers so far here. Personally, I’ve used dating apps looking for a long term relationship. I’ve never used them looking for hookups.


Sure. It might be more rare. But speaking for myself personally, I’m the same way and if it turns into short term fling or hookup, I lose interest very quickly. It’s not what I’m looking for.


So yes, guys on dating apps looking for something serious do exist. Even if it’s more rare.
