Do you close other options when you find a desirable interest?

I googled a guy I used to like and he got top grades and earns more money than a doctor in the financial services industry but he is no longer good looking and I’m assuming he’s not religious, or at least not part of a religion I want to marry. I liked him when I was 11 years old and he 13, and it was purely physical attraction and surprisingly, he looks the same, but my tastes have changed over the years.

What is perfect on paper rarely stays perfect, you had a crush in him that is all. There is a huge difference in having a crush, liking someone, loving someone and being in love with someone. You can like and love people and many different ways but you can only be in love in 1 way. You taste have changed and there is nothing wrong with that. Mine has as well, i used to like shy, quiet and short girls, now i like tall girls who are outgoing but ofc i give everyone a chance regardless of how they look, its personality that matter the most. Looks capture your attention but personality captures your heart. If there are no more spark like in your case than that's all there is to it. Being a good earn etc doesn't mean that you will have good and fulfilled life with him. If you want him as a friends then try to reach him and rekindle or make new friendship with him. If you don't see hi romantically anymore than just stay within your friendship boundaries
