+1 yMen are expected to be more patient regardless if the situation or person is of any value to them. But we are generally more cynical because we get less leeway in society if someone or something takes advantage of our patience. We risk looking “threatening” to people especially if we are angry.
Women can be more patient but if and only if there is some sort of value in it for them (it’s a love interest, relative, friend, manager, etc). If they are patient with strangers it’s because they are concerned about optics (what other people will think of them) vs good graces of the other person personally benefitting them or not.
Now there are exceptions either way. But 90% of the time when I see someone being rude/impatient to a retail worker, public employee, restaurant worker, public transportation attendant, etc they are usually female.
Yes there are a few male a**holes out there. But men usually have a better business sense of understanding an employee is often just the messenger who has little control the situation. They might be impatient/frustrated but will hesitate to kill the messenger and will often ask to speak to the decision maker (boss) instead.

@Dela_99 you actually proved my point. If you want to start going down the road of “justified stereotyping” then that’s a very slippery slope.
Like to hear you use that exact same argument about how stereotyping is justified towards certain ethnic groups given they are statistically more prone to violent crime. See how well that goes over.
Asker+1 y@Dela_99 Do you think that if women were more patient that less crimes would be committed by men? I'm a firm believer in legalized prostitution. I believe that much crime is committed because it is illegal at least in the USA.
Asker+1 y@Dela_99 I have a clean record but men get very aggressive from lack of intimacy or female contact. Yes if men felt less interrogated and psychogically abused by women it would definitely stifle crime. Also making prostitution illegal leaves no option if a male has a less than desirable up bringing.

@Dela_99 and if we prove that women are more costly to companies in the workplace (because of maternity leave) that employers be now justified to start hiring men over women again?
Modern feminism is constantly browbeating men about not “stereotyping” women. But when the shoe is on the other foot (women generalizing and stereotyping men) it’s suddenly completely fine, justified and acceptable. If innocent men get discriminated against then who cares right?
But I get it. It’s about having your cake and eating it too.
Asker+1 y@Dela_99 Anger is a demonstration of impatience. Your profile picture is quite the example of suggestive braggart qualities. Maybe you possess sadistic emotional pleasure from the reactions of single men and women to publicly display? I believe women can be just as violent without male contact also but society now allows most women to achieve it more readily. For example FFM thressomes increasingly common and swingers not allowing single males. In addition more and more people turning gay and transexual puts further limits on men which are forms of impatience.

@Dela_99 Also about your comment “You can’t connect race to any crimes because we have a history of oppressing different races….”
Ah do you realize that outlook in itself is racist? It’s called the soft bigotry of low expectations. You are literally telling a certain group of people “yes you are more violent, have higher unemployment rates, don’t as well educationally and will have a harder time making it. But don’t worry. We don’t expect any better of you and won’t judge you. You were oppressed throughout history so it’s now expected and acceptable”. That attitude actually HARMS those groups of people.
But I get it. It’s about “intersectionality”. Society won’t let you openly stereotype/discriminate against minorities, women, gays and now trans people. So whose left? Straight men of course. There always has to be a whipping boy in society for people to dump their crap out on. - +1 y
" I have a clean record but men get very aggressive from lack of intimacy or female contact." - ROFL yes that is why car thefts, gangs, drug dealers, and SOOO many other crimes which have nothing to do with violence or women exist. ROFL. That's about as intelligent as saying unicorns exist.
- +1 y
@blueonblack22 - don't be a racist - proving her point that men having more issues than women - by mentioning ethnicity which has NOTHING to do with her comment just because she's right.
Statistically men comment more crimes then women AND ironically less men are found in careers that require patience. So your point is invalidated by reality.
Asker+1 y@BlackBeauty90 So it's unintelligent to say that mass murderers, stalking, female hostages and kidnapping, some sexual serial killers are a result of lack of intimacy? Gang violence generally can be also. Although primarily for drug dealing and protection many get involved for status and to get women unfortunately.
- +1 y
@Asker - "mass murderers, stalking, female hostages and kidnapping, some sexual serial killers are a result of lack of intimacy" this has NOTHING to do with lack of intimacy and ALL to do with control, terror, etc. ask ANY psychologist or ANY detective and they'd LAUGH at the idea it's a lack of intimacy.
"Gang violence generally can be also" - ROFL. Too bad for you gangsters - and this is everything from Italian mobsters to Colombians and every gang / drug / thuglife organization - oftentimes don't just have a girlfriend or wife they oftentimes have women on the side.
Asker+1 y@BlackBeauty90 Anger! It doesn't sound as if you read entire statements and just think sexual crimes are not committed because of lack of sex?
- +1 y
Asker - do try & learn how to read. Psychologists & detectives would laugh at the idea "sexual crimes are not committed because of lack of sex?" when it is a KNOWN fact that these crimes are committed for control, terror, etc. If that wasn't the case WHY are men stalked, WHY are men kidnapped & used / raped sexually, etc.
Asker+1 y@BlackBeauty90 The same reason. I actually stated that earlier. I think a lot of this is just a difference in a make or females perspective. Psychology accounts that I have read is that most sexual serial killers are mainly a result of a lack of a father figure and a very abusive controlling mother who doesn't want to lose the only male figure in her household.
- +1 y
@Asker - Not even close & I say that as someone who has a Masters in Psychology. What when some of the worse sexual predators come from average joe homes. Jeffrey Dahmer had both parents. Another known criminal Richard Huckle came from middle class family... Most sexual predators are due to a required sense of need for control & terror hence why you have such things as pedophiles.
Asker+1 y@BlackBeauty90 This information is from documentaries and FBI research on the subject. Sometimes I wonder about college education. I admit some are from being exposed to extreme violence like the night stalker but he wasn't a sexual serial killer. It's because the controlling mother sexually repressed the child for fear of losing him to another girl or woman. Pedophilia I know nothing about and probably won't ever research.
- +1 y
@Asker - "This information is from documentaries and FBI research on the subject." No it's not because I just named 2 criminals that disprove your claim AND one of which was well known to the FBI.
"I admit some are from being exposed to extreme violence like the night stalker but he wasn't a sexual serial killer." If you were actually referring to legitimate documents what night stalker? There's been dozens around the world.
" It's because the controlling mother sexually repressed the child for fear of losing him to another girl or woman." ROFL. I just disproved that within 30 seconds of google search.
Asker+1 yI haven't heard much of pedophiles meaning pre pubescent being killers. Violence as in molesting or rape but not murder. As they get in to pubescent victims which is not pedophilia then its rape and murder. Mostly what I have spoken about is 18 and older victims.
Asker+1 y@BlackBeauty90 anyrhing can be verified or un verified with google search. Documentation online will agree with whatever you want if you search enough. This is a waste of time though. The sexual repression is very true though. Keep searching you will find if you want to. It's the most common variable in sexual killers. I'm not going to comment further because I think your emotions are much to involved.
- +1 y
@Asker - what you state is claimed by NO paperwork. I just merely used google to verify that Dahmer had both parents, as said university degree in psychology so I don't need google UNLIKE you. ALL of your claim is just hogwash. That is obvious by the fact you can't even name which "night stalker" you're talking about. Come back when you can actually validate what you're talking about which you CAN NOT.
- +1 y
@BlackBeauty90 of course I am not being racist. But I got a real problem with her saying “well it’s okay if we stereotype men because of these statistics” because that’s a very dangerous slippery slope. That could easily be applied to other cultural dynamics but she won’t dare do that (nor should she). .
Asker+1 y@BlackBeauty90 Are you not the one who proved it by Google? Masters in psychology who doesn't need google. Well if you google night stalker the first person to come up would be, drum roll please, Richard Ramirez the one any only that most people know of.
I actually google the crime rates of legal prostitution vs illegal and it said legalizing it raises trafficking in rich countries which I was actually quite surprised by. It also states that leaving illegal raises pretty much all other crimes.- +1 y
@blueonblack22 stereotypes are one thing stats are another, and why you acting like there is no such thing as paternity leave lmao?
- +1 y
@blueonblack22 soft bigotry lmaooooo boy if you don’t sleep
- +1 y
@Dela_99 it IS soft bigotry. You are saying the underperformance of a different ethnicity is “acceptable” because they can’t help it or some bullshit. Like they are destined to be that way and shouldn’t expect better for them. That’s called “kid glove” racism.
Also you don’t get to use stats to justify one form of discrimination while playing dumb to the other. It’s either all or nothing. But you are just going to go with what’s socially acceptable to say vs what isn’t. You aren’t brave.
@BlackBeauty90 I apologize for bringing race into this. Really I am. I know you live a very different life than I have lived. Different experience.
But I’m not letting @Dela_99 off the hook on her “acceptable discrimination because of statistics” viewpoint bs. That’s why I had to bring that analogy up. I hate to get off topic but I just buy what she is saying. Maybe you agree with her too. But still I am not cool with her “justifiable discrimination” stance.

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yIronically... in my experiences traveling and working for and around people in various capacities, I find a lot of older women far more patient than younger women, and older men to be a lot less patient and more egotistical than younger men. Just socially and on jobs.

+1 yI think there are different types of patience and most people are patient in some areas but not in others, and very few people are patient in all areas.
An example is, I know a guy who came over for a barbecue and his diet was 80% garlic bread and orange juice cause his dad told him it was rude to eat all the expensive food on his own and not save some for the other guests at the party.
On the other hand, when I tried to talk to him, he would not even acknowledge my existence, cause I was 18 years older than him, and he thought I was boring and uninteresting.
Like, we spent 8 hours preparing your food at the barbecue because we wanted to honour your dad who is friends with my dad, and you won't even acknowledge me when I talk to you? So he is patient with his dad but not with his dad's friends.
I know other guys that are patient with children but not with adults and I know people who are patient with weak people but not with confident people. I also know people who are patient with confident people but not with insecure or anxious people. People have different types of patience for different things.

+1 yYour take on it is anecdotal but correct. Some studies I’ve seen have women displaying more impatience and some other studies have women displaying more patience. I’m sure if the same exact experiment was done again for each of these studies, the results would be different each time. In my opinion, gender does not play a role but the conditions of your upbringing does, as do the experiences you’ve encountered. Too many different factors contribute to the patience of a person.

+1 yAnyone is inpatient when the person they are dealing with is an imbecile. Dumb comments, ignorance, rudeness, anti female (or anti male) toxicity, uneducated / simple minded, or "poor me" behavior quickly annoys anyone who has a brain.
Now if women were indeed less patient they wouldn't be involved more heavily in careers then men where patience IS necessary. Careers like customer service & financial planning (banking & accounting is in some areas 70+% female), human resources, receptionist, nursing, home health aide, bus driver, childcare worker, social worker, and many more require patience AND are more female focused jobs.
In fact it's as much required as a university degree in some cases.
10 Reply393 opinions shared on Dating topic. I’m not going generalize and say women are more patient than men or vice versa. I know for women you’re typically expected to act more kind, understanding, patient, etc where with men it is okay if you’re more reckless because it is just boys being boys. My brother and I are close in age and when we were younger he got away with a lot more than I did. Even when it was clearly him, I got in trouble because as a girl I should be more responsible and keep him in check. Honestly I hate generalizations like that. As an adult my boyfriend is definitely more patient than I am but I have friends that are more patient than us combined that are women. So it would honestly go down to the individual and not the gender
00 Reply303 opinions shared on Dating topic. Well there are things about perceptions also.
"Generally speaking", women tend to be accepted as being more impulsive. (remember... i didn't say all women... just a lot of them)
So a lot of things women do or don't, the world will tend to just consider it "cute" or "she's just being a woman".On the other hand, an impatient guy "can" be consider as a jerk. And an impulsive guy can be consider as weak.
So it's a bit difficult to pinpoint.
But to be honest, I've come across "some" impatient women. But I tend to get a feeling that a lot of women don't bother working on their patience, because they can hide behind it being cute. Or they could simply say "I'm too impulsive".

+1 y😂. Im going to say sometimes. I was emotionally off yesterday and my wife was very patient. Im not sure shed enjoy that for a full week though. Guys handle women emotionally off on monthly basis. God help the man w 4 girls in the house!
Women can be very patient… or not. Personality amd training and emotions and hormone’s00 Reply I am very patient. My husband isn't.
We women don't work as fast as men. I've noticed that ever since I was a kid. My Dad can cook a meal or clean the house in a fraction of the time as my Mom or my sisters.
(I was always slow because I was lazy and whined because I was the youngest.)
When my husband and I do things together, he'll be done while I feel like I'm just getting started. I think that's why we are more patient. They are tired of waiting for us.
00 Reply935 opinions shared on Dating topic. This really depends on what calls for the patience. Because generally speaking, Men & Women have different strengths & weaknesses.
But it is better not focusing on the gender of someone that isn't patient. It's really not constructive at all. We should focus on the behavior & condemn a lack of patience no matter what gender the creature has been assigned.

+1 ymy ex boyfriend always complained about how long it would take me to get ready. He would go and sit in the car to wait for me. I would come out and ask him do ypu have the directions to the party, the housewarming gift etc. and he would almost always say no.
being ready FIRST doesn't matter if your not truly ready to go.00 Reply- 653 opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yNo, women are not more patient than men. If they were women would remain single after a breakup instead of already being with another guy less than 15 minutes after the breakup while men have to wait years just to find something new. I’ve been alone for almost 9 years and my ex has been with 2 guys sense we broke up, has 2 kids and is unofficially married.
