Because I have good looks, and I overhear some say they think I’m “hot,” but I never get approached. And I don’t know, but I think I might be unapproachable. Because I rarely get girls who flirt with me. It sucks, so I don’t flirt unless they do.

This isn't why women avoid a guy. Women are able to size up many things in a man first that you might not even know are important to her. Once the looks-thing has been assessed, she'll hear the sound of your voice and listen to what comes out of your mouth. If your personality is something she finds isn't going to mesh with hers, then she won't really approach you. This doesn't necessarily mean a 'bad' personality, but just a connection in general. If you're sitting and being all attractive by yourself, not saying a word, trust me there are other things men put out there that women choose to avoid. A handsome face is not always going to be your free pass. :)

Most are not scared. Most women just are not attracted to more than 10% of men. So when they meet a man they're attracted to they're already dealing with a fraction of men. A number that is further reduced by the men who are attracted to them. So in a woman's mind she's always worrying about that number drying up (not unlike guys). Now there are some women that look at all men as cattle to be used as they see fit. These women never worry, because these women really aren't attracted to ANY man, just his attention. And since there'll almost always be a man to do that she really doesn't worry.
