Trending & News About 7 or 8 years ago I got a call from someone who claimed to be the agent for a famous celebrity. She said that they were going through dating sites together and her client saw my profile and was interested in meeting me. She told me that she was an actress whose name I would recognize but could not tell me her name. I asked the agent for HER company name and that I would contact them to connect me with her to be sure she was legit. She gave it to me and sure enough she was, it is a reputable agency.
Anyway to make a long story short, this woman would know who I was but I was not be allowed to know who she was until I meet her. So for me it would be a blind date. I turned it down on that basis because I don't do blind dates. Yes, it still leaves me wondering who it was, but I don't really regret it since who knows if I would have liked her or not and I have never suffered a shortage of options.
Would I date a celebrity? Sure, but not under those terms.
My mother's cousin married a famous British super model in the 60s. Turns out he is gay and they divorced in a few years... too bad because she used to babysit for me and I had a big crush on her! :D
I voted no.
I mean, I would have been open to a brief fling. It would probably have been exciting to get to know someone I've watched on TV or movies or whatever so close.
I probably would have already thought she was very attractive.
But I would go in with the mindset of this is just a fling. One of those "look me up the next time you are in town" type of things.
Usually famous people travel all the time. Actresses travel to do promos, they live in L. A. they travel to promote movies and to doe their filming. Actresses also kiss, act out sex scenes with other actors and do nude scenes. I'd never be serious about such a girl.
Musicians go on tour all the time and they travel extensively. I don't do long distance.
But if I could have gotten with Taylor Swift or Scarlett Johansson or Christina Perri I would have done it.
Yes, because a famous person is just a person. I don't care how much money someone has, or what their status is... I care about how they treat me, how he treats the homeless man on the corner or the dog about to get hit by a car. Will he stop to help someone in need? Will he give his last dollar to the person who needs it? Those are the questions I ask. Will he treat me with respect? Is he honest and dependable? Does he pay his bills on time? Those are what, for me, define a man or a woman. Not how famous, how rich, or even how good-looking they are.
No probably not.. I hate pictures, I hate crowds, I hate parties... I hate rumours and false accusations.. I wouldn't want to know about every famous person they fucked.. they wouldn't be home often.. just not my ideal lifestyle.. and with cancel culture lately I would have to watch what I say and I couldn't be bothered to care that much.. The person would have to be amazing to even consider that..

No, because I'm engaged. If I was single, I expect I would be capable of doing that.
It would depend on the person lol.
Okay let's say a victoria's secret model
take your pick of whomever
No thanks lol.
I don't know, the way they get around, they might have an STD.
@SeekerOfTruth007 yeah lmao. I don’t think they’re very good people
I’m not saying they’re all bad. But just no thanks.
Perhaps not. I would be like why me? I could be a good SO though if I weren’t taken, especially now that I have achieved my own financial goals.
An effort would have to be made by me to go on tour with them to keep the relationship healthy but stay out of the limelight as I don’t want that world. I would pay my own bills though and refuse to get sucked into that life as I could lose myself. I would also be the person who told her what I really thought as these stars are surrounded by ass kissers and they lose touch with reality so that could either help her or create a problem as her ass isn’t getting kissed by me.
I am sure that you would not be able to have a normal date. Would be a lot of give and take for both of you. To answer your question. It would depend on how the woman would react and handle the situations and sometimes rude people.
I know a retired local TV weatherman. He would do the 11 o’clock weather. Then would have a drink at a local bar on the way home. He would have a hard time carrying on a normal conversation without someone saying that he ruined their raccoon hunt because the weather didn’t turn out as he predicted. Or he would have a drunken slut trying to pick him up in his home town.
He said that to have an enjoyable evening. He had to leave the viewing area.
With a world wide famous person. That couldn’t happen!
Yes for me, key here is that you need to understand that you may rarely be the center of attention. If your ok with that then it can work.
On the other hand, the famous individual still needs to see and respect you. It is my perception that a famous person may not give the attention or put the effort into the relationship that others might?
Nope. Too much drama, too many people will see you as competition, too many jealous people who genuinely wish awful things for you - the lost goes on. Also, people with that sort of attention and money are rarely faithful to their partners, it’s the hard truth.
If he’s someone that’s popular but not hugely famous then I’d be down.
List* goes on
No, I probably couldn't hack it. I like my privacy and paparazzi gets in your business and follows you everywhere. It would be a quick way for me to want out. Plus their career would more than likely pull them away from the family way too much for my taste.
They would also need to pass my standards for a partner as well.
I suppose so. I think I would want to keep the relationship a secret for as long as possible though. I don't want nor need the limelight.
The person would have to know that I am in it for them and not for who they are in the public's eye.
Nope. Will never see them. Maybe once a week for an hour lol. Plus they tend to have low morals. A lot more cheating going on. I want a private life
I don’t think the way a famous person person ( for me it would be a famous woman) and I think I might get in the way of her life. The only thing that would alter my opinion is if somehow we felt in love with each other. Which could change my thinking.
It depends on why they're famous. Actually, you should probably ask the question the other way around, because most famous people don't/won't date an average regular person. For example, I work in the construction industry, and I work full-time. Most famous people would find dating a "Monday through Friday" blue-collar worker tedious and boring. So even if it somehow happened, I doubt it'd last very long.
As a casual meet-up, yea why not, but not for a relationship. I had once a pretty long conversation with Camila Cabello and got private her social media. She was cool and really open. Even though I think she is really hot, I would never be a boyfriend or date in public to then appear on medias and rumors.
I prefer not too my only exception is Cillian Murphy because he doesn't like the celeb life. He likes being an actor but not the attention that comes with it. He manages to maintain a private yet safe life. Other than that no I'm not interested in celebrity. A wealthy man I'd prefer a celebrity no.
*to..
I could. It sees not matter what a person does, it's who she is that is important. If I liked her and she was famous it wouldn't matter and I would date her like anyone else.
Of course the fame could create challenges for doing normal date things but again if she is the right person then you tackle the issues and carry on.
I would not want to be under the glare of a spotlight whatsoever. It's not like famous people generally date unknowns. I know there are some couples who have managed to hold it together, but I would not take the risk.
I think it COULD be a problem according to HOW famous the person was. If just modestly so, and they blend in, in general, more than likely.
If they'd be accosted everywhere we went, then no.
Been there, done that. Dated a cousin's best friend who was a musician and lead singer of a decently well known British band.
Actually still doing it.
My fiance happens to be a well known European celebrity.
Nope, they have way too much temptation constantly offered to them. My insecurities would eventually kick in and i would eventually drive myself into a mental ward from overthinking too much. Not worth the headache.
I like my privacy, I don't want random people following me around, taking my pictures, plastering them for the world to see, picking apart my entire life... no thanks.
The more famous she is the more options she has..
Her fame Negatively corelates to my interest in her, but she is goofy and silent type, and beautiful in my standards she is very appealing!..
I did once. A local minor celebrity. Not a fan. They are mostly big narcissists. Met some of his minor celebrity circle and hangar onners, they weren't any better.
Well, I really don't want people on the streets asking her autograph all the time or men hitting on her all the time. I would be okay if she was an engineer, nuclear scientist or astronaut. Showbiz is just not for me. Musician is fine too.
But if she's a musician, wouldn't men be hitting on her all the time? Wouldn't she get more people asking for her autograph since artists are more recognizable
When I say musician I'm talking Beyonce status musician
I'm going to guess no. I think I could handle her celebrity but not her schedule. And if you care about someone you don't want to hold them back. So I'd probably have to cut her loose and wish her well, keep chasing that star!
Not likely. They probably did some dirt to get there that is unacceptable.
That's a bit sexist
You don't think women can get to the top without sleeping around?
Nobody in show business would even look your way you don't need to worry about the corruption
Bullshit. you slept with the escorts and the easy ones who put out to ANYBODY
because no respectable model or showbiz performer would have to sleep around to get to the top
Just as one example because she's not in the business anymore as an older lady... I know a woman who was a model and a major beauty pageant winner that married into the Kennedy family. On her honeymoon the Kennedy mentioned was called away to sign some papers... A little while later the helicopter he was asked to board exploded and she became a widow after he was assassinated. She's a nice enough lady, but he life was torn to shred over running in those circles...
While I would be ecstatic for someone to love me for who I am, I also am quite shy and would hate for the paparazzi to try and bother me. I think I would give it a chance, and then self-sabotage later from being insecure and feeling inferior.
I’m getting married to the man I love but even if I wasn’t no I wouldn’t date someone famous..
If I was single, I would. But I get why someone wouldn't want to, as many famous people have a hard time getting any privacy while they are out and about.
I don't think I would because it would bring too much attention to myself by association, being with a famous person. I'd never get any privacy.
I would, but I wouldn't want to be on the spotlight. Also, it would depend on the reason why he was famous.
Yeah but it would also depend on that person as well, they gotta accept i ain't going to every single invite or show or party she is invited to
Why not? They are just people too. They need love just like us common people lol. And if Maggie Q or Lucy Liu read this…. This means you!
No I couldn't because everything that comes with fame sucks. I couldn't deal with the paparazzi all the time.
I don't see why not. If she can date me with my modicum of fame, I see no reason I can't date her. My ex-fiance was the daughter of a famous author.
Yes, with a caveat. If they were constantly touring it would be difficult. Also I'd want my two kids to stay out of the limelight so would have to manage any media interest
I know no celebrities Whom I’d be able to date. My Flower Girl is more of my sister than a girlfriend and I’m sure Noura ain’t too infamous. Stephen’s married and Hayden’s probably too old (for her, not for me).
Eventually she'd want me to attend something with them. I don't want the publicity.
Are u dating someone who famous?
by the way yes I would but not for the money or shit like that but for his heart. Especially if we r connected
They may be a bit out of my league but I would try.
No. Because famous people have fragile egos. You can't out shine them or be an embarrassment to them publicly.
I don't think so, it would be difficult to have the paparazzi following us everywhere.
Dating a famous guy means belittling myself by inviting everyone to come closer to him.
Well, I have my standards even for dating so the answer will be No.
No 😅 I'm a private person and I don't like the spotlight, so that would be a nightmare.
I’m sure I could but would I want to? I guess it depends who it is.
Nope, id be known as the paparazzi butcher, I like my privacy
Sure but I would want to make sure the media respected my privacy
Famous at doing what is the real question.
A hypothetical- if they were an actor or a musician
Yes I could, but it would not be because they are famous, there would need to be an attraction there, no attraction - no dating.
Umm that's yes and no con.1st they won't have much time for you 2ed are you just after the money and forcing your self to love pro.1st able to afford nice things and taking you out 2ed being seen in public with them
It would depend on how famous but never say never. The heart wants what it wants. But paparazzi can’t be easy. And people in your business and them misconstruing your life choices. But also it does take more then love for a relationship to work.
The only things that would bother me would be paparazzi and the propensity for many of the famous to cheat.
I have known two famous people and only dated one was fun when with me nobody spoke out at her.
for sure I could n. would... n I'd be awesome at it... in every way..
Voted for no. I want to go to places in peace.
Possibly? It would depend on what she's famous for.
I have done this, and it was really like any other dating, except for the constant harassment by paparazzi.
I don't think so. I would hate being in the spot light being associated with someone famous as that would come with the territory.
I would and have.
Sure. If she has good personal traits and honesty. Why not.
Maybe if I really like them but they don’t date regular people
