as for "freedom of speech" a person needs to understand that basic cliche "with freedom comes responsibility" and so a person has freedom to say/do what they like, but then they also must accept responsibility for what they have said. Which may include public ostracizing (canceled) if it's far from the mainstream values, or if they commit an action that the public has deemed unacceptable (cannibalism, rape, murder), then they may suffer the public justice, even if in their own mind it was okay to eat someone else.

That can also change depending on the culture. Cannibalism has previously been acceptable in certain societies, with other examples of rape and murder being accepted practices in certain situations. Like it used to be considered impossible for a wife to be raped by her husband, or killing someone who was black was accepted for reasons that are no longer considered acceptable.

I'm of the opinion that "right and wrong" are not objective truths, and people act like they are in their short-sighted and closed minded perspectives. People seem to be so certain they are "right" but history show us repeatedly that others felt just as strongly in the past, for situations like I describe above, which the current majority now finds deplorable. In my mind, this begs the extrapolation that in the future, our current society will likely be judged as deplorable amoral jerks for some of the practices that are currently commonly accepted.
