Not necessarily. It depends on the individuals.
I will say that if a 27 year old thinks a 40 year old is old, then the 40 year old person will see the 27 year old as a kid.
When I was in my teens, I thought anyone over 30 was old. LOL
As I grew older (over 50), I met some really bright people in their 20s. We could engage like equals without thought of age. But some younger people are stuck up and think they know everything. They are caught up in being cool and bitchen and kind of scoff at older people like "You were never this cool." They have no idea. LOL
I, myself, became friends with people who were 20 or 30 years older than myself. We didn't think about each other's ages. We were equals and good friends. They respected me and I had the greatest respect for them.
But I will say that we initially see people for who they are in the present. A younger person can't imagine being older. It always changed my perspective when I saw photos of an older person when they were young and when I heard them talk about their younger days. It helped me to realize that they were just like me.
On the other hand, older people can more easily relate to younger people because they've been there, done that.
I can't believe that I am almost 70. Mentally, I'm still every age I've every been - 6, 16, 26, 36, 50, 60, ...
And I mostly relate to the hay days of my 20s. I still have many of those speech patterns. So I can get along with a wide range of people. I prefer people who didn't adopt superior, arrogant or authoritarian roles in life. I get along with regular people and I've known some very successful people who talked and acted like what I consider to regular people.
You sound like a wonderful person. I agree age is just a number
Thank you. 😊 ☮️💟

I think once you reach a certain point in your life/ maturity, you stop really seeing age like that in general. In my mind, everyone under 24 is a kid anyone above 40 can be loosely thought of as an adult and everyone inbetween is on a spectrum
not really by 27... and 18 year old could be very boyish... very much so.
They probably see us as very young even tho we aren't lol

No, not a kid. A younger adult, yes.
When they try to tell us that they know more than we do, I'd say yes.
@Apple1996 Well... in your case, I'd probably have to make an exception 8><3
@Apple1996 Maybe, but that doesn't necessarily mean I have as much common sense, or any common sense, for that matter. You would hope so, at this point, but everybody's different.
@Apple1996 To me, the hardest thing for every generation to realize is that what's right isn't always popular, and what's popular isn't always right. Millions of young people today have been programmed to believe that the absolute best course of action to take is to tear down America, to ostensibly come up with something better, but it doesn't work that way.
You sound a good guy
Depends on the person. I am only 31 and see most college age people as "kids" that is a generalization because most people in that range do not have a large variety of life experiences. I assume that is just because I was "being an adult" at a young age so I have a biased opinion.
Yeah lol. When I was a kid. Little kids seemed like kids and teenagers seemed like adults. But as you get older. You’re perspective on people change.
To a 100 year old. A 40 year old is just a baby too
Only when they take pictures of their food at restaurants
Yeah. I pretty much think of anything under 35 as young.
Most 27-year-old men are still immature. Women, not so much.
probably to some
