Do guys ever give up on their twin flame or ‘the one’?

Yes if they think she's out of reach. That means she moves to another city or she's taken by another guy or a guy gets insecure because he's not sure she's mutually interested. Not all guys are confident, some are shy when the woman is extremely important to them since if they mess it up all the good experiences are part of the past.

I dont know what you mean by giving up on the one. If she's the one for me then she would feel how i feel about her. Which means we would both love each other unconditionally. If she left me for whatever reason and i "gave up" on her that means she wasn't the one for me since she doesn't want to be with me?

Guys reach a point where they tire of a woman's games. And at that point she either accepts him on his terms (to which a serious guys has reasonable terms), or he just decides to remain single.
