Fate driven relationships, has anyone experience this?

I met this guy in middle school, and initially, I never really noticed or paid much attention to him. However, one day, we struck up a conversation through mutual friends. Since that day, it seems like I'm always running into him wherever I go. Every few months, we randomly cross paths. I find myself seeing him more often than some of my family members.

Is there some deeper connection at play, or is this all just a series of coincidences?

Yes. We met by accident, but turns out we’ve met before when we were young. Lived in the same area, went to the same places etc as kids. We clicked right away, caught feelings and we got hit with some issues. I tried to walk away from him but it turns out his grandpa was my grandpa’s best friend, so we reconnected. We tried to make it work but I just couldn’t deal with all the issues (my own, his own and issues within the relationship) so I opted to walk away for real. I moved away. Then my mom started talking about her new business partner, which happens to be this guy’s aunt… no matter where I go, we always get pulled back together. Eventually, I stopped resisting and I’ve been in the happiest relationship that I’ve ever been - still going strong to this day.
