What Girls Said
I'm 38 and have barely traveled either. Growing up, my family didn't have the finances or luxury to travel far- I was honestly shocked my parents scrapped up enough money to let me go on my 6th grade trip out of state!
After I graduated college, got a job, and my life in order, yes I have the funds- but no real urge to travel alone, nor the friends or family willing to travel with me for various reasons.
I wouldn't mind having a partner to travel with! Not everyone is "worldly" and travels alot- or wants to! Nor would that be a dealbreaker for me in terms of dating. I'd just assume he's a homebody, or never had the chance to travel (ie: finances)
Basically anyone that judges someone off their travels, or lack of, is kind of rude to be honest.
It's not a deal breaker, but definitely weird for where I live.
Do you mean never left his hometown at all, or just never been abroad?
Mainly "never been abroad"
Ah, that's not a deal breaker in my opinion, then. Especially if you live in America, not traveling abroad is a statistical norm. Plus in recent economies it's not as prevalent anyways.
Especially if you have other sources of life experience and perspective-shifting experiences, then I'm sure you'll be fine.
I live in Europe and everyone travels here few times a year. I also lived very sheltered life and I lack a lot of experiences in many areas. I just literally started (or I am just going to start) almost everything. I am afraid women (especially attractive ones) won't accept me for that, but I can't go back in time
I still hope you will give me a honest opinion
Ah then, yes, you're going to have a hard time. Not because you haven't traveled, but because you don't have as much experience or stories as your peers. Also if you're afraid of women, it'll be hard to date one.
Instead of focusing on your shortcomings making it hard to date you, focus instead on breaking out of that sheltered lifestyle.
Give yourself time to grow into your own person and gain your experiences, and you'll find it easier to connect with others - beyond just dating women, too.
I dated a lot and partied a lot, but I just didn't travel and all my relationships were short term. The problem is I just didn't travel and I just started discovering my hobbies/skills. I am also 34 and I don't want to wait for my next relationship until 40s.
