They can be for the right person. I'm probably not that person. I'm outgoing and like to be sociable. So it probably wouldn't be the best match for me. People that have a lot of patience and can wait for them to open up and feel comfortable could certainly make it work. I think it is really going to depend on the person and whether they can deal with that in the beginning. Not easy to do but I'm sure there are people out there that make it work.

Ye I was kinda shy back then in my early 18 but dated an extrovert girl and now its way easier for me to open up to new people.

Before it would take me up to 2 years to warm up to new friends/people.
