Maybe not disrespectful, (although I did it as a 20 something) but I would not do it now unless she gave me gum and she chewed too, after eating? A girlfriend used to chew, after we ate out in a local restaurant.

As a 24 YO, after a particularly insulting comment regarding my oral skills, from a blind date, I stuck a wad of gum in her bush... and we both know how that went! Now I would never chew gum on a date.

I'm not a fan, the whole idea is to be able to talk freely and I would have a tough time paying attention with gum appearing once in awhile in their mouth.

I find it unattractive seeing her chew on gum. Then when she talks or smiles, you can see that piece of gum in her mouth. It's not classy, ladies. Have a regular mint for your breath, but not gum.
