I don't understand why some guys get so worked up by a woman saying she is waiting until marriage to have sex.

There are plenty of women out there who are happy to have sex outside of marriage, the guys should focus on those.

You cannot be upset with men for saying that. What is good about marriage for a man? It locks us into a situation where the woman can leave him at any point and take his kids, alimony, and child support. I will never get married.

Why are men trash for not wanting to wait an eternity to have sex? Sex is a physiological need. Only religious people wait for marriage to have sex and religion is slowly dying out and that’s a wonderful thing

@Tim2nice is correct when he says that religion was the only reason (so far) women wait for marriage and that it’s during out.

@JustMeQ2 because sex is a two way thing. i dont know if you ever heard that saying love is a two way thing. you can expect love from anyone. or you are not entitled to love from someone. its the same with sex. and dating just for sex is using someone as for ghosting someone cuz they won't have sex before marriage is prioritising their own needs over the person so its trash.

@catarecute I agree with you on that. But not pursuing a relationship with someone who is holding until marriage can also be a defense mechanism. Because, like I pointed out, depending on where you are the chances that it's a scam can be high.

@JustMeQ2 men can ask someone in marriage if they are so desperate to have sex with that particular person or they can find someone else. the fact they rather find someone else that make an effort to get married means they are it it for the sex alone. and on dating sites its not really dating until at least the third date. the fact they ghost you when you say that means they were hoppy to take you for pizza and have sex with u. if thats not using someone then what is?

@catarecute I'm trying to point out to you that there is more than one reason for this action. And while your reason is valid, there are more. One of them is not wanting to be made a fool of.

How will it look when a man puts up with all of this and then after marriage one of her previous partners comes up and shows you proof that she didn't hold for marriage? This is a risk not always worth taking.

So you are withholding sex until marriage to see how serious are there intentions. That explains it.

I have seen women doing this, and it has never led to a serious relationship. This is a bad way of testing men.

Withholding sex in the first few dates, until you are exclusive, it's fine. But if there is no sex and you are exclusive, that's a no. Why should both of you be punished for your bad history with men? Maybe he’ll stay if you treat him the same as others.

You're better off saying no sex until I know we are looking for the same thing, on a timeline that's good for the both of you. This way you filter out the ones that just want a hookup at that point in time (the ones you call trash), and keep those that are looking for a commitment ( for a while at least).

The sentence “no sex until marriage” itself has a bad rep. The little wordplay I suggested will get you better results.

@JustMeQ2 ghosting someone because they say no sex with marriage shows the guy has a lack of confidence in his own self control and decision making. any guy with a bit of brain will be able to know that is isn't serious and that no woman is actualy going to do it and they dont need to ghost someone straight away they can wait and know the person. just ghosting cuz someone says that is stupid. they can dumb the girl at any time if they feel to sex deprived they dont need to do it straight away.

@catarecute It shouldn't be taken seriously at first glance, there is no arguing with you there. But the woman needs to know when to let it go because if she takes it too far the man will think that she is serious and if he's not into it he will dump her.

As for how I will feel… I wouldn't care about it. If I told her as I suggested to you in the previous reply and she left. I would just note it down as “she isn't looking for the same thing at this point in time” and that is fine.
