Yes. I have a hard time making friends anyway. If I somehow ended up saying something that stupid, I would definitely take the time to rephrase to a more accurate statement like "I'm not interested in dating anyone because I'm married" and apologize for how the original statement must have sounded to a trans woman (or anyone with basic understanding of trans Healthcare and family options).

That would be like saying you're not interested in dating anyone of a certain race while talking directly to someone of that race. You'll either come off as just ignorantly racist by thinking everyone of that race is the same, or worse as intentionally racist by knowing there's no good reason to rule out that entire group of people and doing it anyway. It's not a good look.
