I assume I know my girlfriend quite well, meanwhile I don't know much about the dream girl other than what she shows on her face. Behind that could be anything, for all I know is she's only interested in me now because she's jealous rather than actually interested.

Think it's safe to say don't leave someone you trust and know for someone who could be a nightmare looking like a dream.

Doubt it. That seems like a really immature way of choosing a girlfriend. I could see going on a date with someone new in an effort to get past feelings.. but by the time I’ve chosen her to be my girlfriend I’m not going to do it for negative reasons
