Him liking my Instagram story is it an invitation to shoot my shot?

So I don’t really do this I don’t usually reach out to a guy first. My coworker said he has this friend he wanted to set me up with so I told him to give his friend my Instagram and we both followed each other. This was roughly a couple days ago. Last night I posted a story of my face and he liked it, should I reach out to him and say hello? Or should I just let him initiate since he’s the guy and maybe the liking the story means nothing more than him just liking a story?

Hmm that's an interesting one. On one hand, him liking your story is probably a good sign that he's checking you out on social media. Guys don't usually like girls' stuff if they're not feeling them at least a little bit.

At the same time though, you said you usually don't make the first move, and he is a guy so it could be expected for him to reach out first if he's really interested, ya know?

I say go for it! What's the worst that could happen - he doesn't message back and you're in the same spot you are now. But he might be into it that a cool girl made the first move. Shows confidence on your part.

If you do message him, I'd just keep it casual and friendly. Like "Hey, saw we matched on IG through [friend], just saying hi!" Open the door and see if he wants to grab food or something.

You never know till you try. And girls who put themselves out there are way more awesome in my book. Go for it girl, you got this! Let me know how it goes.
