What's your idea of the perfect date?

Something where we can actually talk. Coffee/wine bar... but something that has real food there so if we want to stick around and grow peckish we can eat as well. If we know each other a little better I like to cook for her since I've done that professionally, but only after I've actually seen her eat because that BS "I only eat half a salad" nonsense... no... no I'm not making the effort for that. Or for people that only eat chicken fingers or some such nonsense. Even better if she's up to open some wine and cook together. That's always very intimate.

something more simple... it doesn't have to be "perfect" but is always great for me

cooking together... at her, or my place, and then we can actually spend a nice time together and mostly focused on each other... and we'll get to know each other much better that way

and it's more comfortable this way too

But I could imagine watching a movie together and then a simple meal somewhere, where we can talk about the movie, share impressions and opinions. The best way to learn something new about each other. And I could satisfy the observer inside me. :D

So long as those things are present then it doesn't really matter whether we're at a restaurant, taking a walk are at a gallery or whatever.
