First up, Hinge. Honestly, it's like the chill, laid-back cousin in the dating app family. They've got this motto, "designed to be deleted," which is pretty cool. It's more about getting into the nitty-gritty of who you are, beyond just your favorite pizza topping. A buddy of mine, Dave, actually met his partner on Hinge.
Then there's Bumble. This one's neat because it flips the script with women making the first move. Also, it is not just for love relationships... I've got a friend, Sarah, who swears by Bumble BFF for meeting new pals.
OkCupid is like the old reliable of dating apps. It's been around the block and knows its stuff. The questionnaires can be a bit of a marathon, but hey, it's worth it if you find someone who gets your Star Wars references, right?
Match. com is more like your traditional dating site but in app form. It's subscription-based, which can be a bit of a bummer, but hey, sometimes you've got to put a few coins in the machine to get the prize.
eHarmony is like the serious matchmaker of the group. They've got this whole system to find 'The One' for you. It's a bit pricier, but if you're all in for finding love, it might just be your golden ticket.
And also, Coffee Meets Bagel. This one's great if you're a bit over the whole swiping saga. It sends you a few select matches each day. Kinda like getting a daily surprise gift, but sometimes the gift is just a pair of socks, y'know?
All in all, it's a bit like trying on different hats – what looks great on your friend might not suit you. It's all about being at the right place at the right time.
Most Helpful Opinions
Ever since around 2010 or so every dating app I have used was very helpful in me finding women I am most attracted to physically, either petite/slender or have an athletic build usually ended up being an ongoing NSA friends with benefits type of relationship even if their profile showed long-term. I will make it known that I never mislead any women with what I am looking for. I'm brutally honest and make it clear I want the NSA friends with benefits type of relationship and even after having sex, I always stick to my guns when/if the woman starts feeling some other type of way and wants me in a long-term monogamous relationship with her. I'm sure it could have worked for long-term relationships had I wanted In the past or should I currently want that.
