How would you take it?

You go on a date. You let them know ahead of time that you are going to be late. They say okay. Once you arrive, you apologize for the lateness, and your date says this to you: "I am going to give you shit about it, but just know I am only talking shit" and laughs. How would you take it?

When girls "joke" like that they usually are still a little mad. I wouldn't let it ruin the date, though.

I would take it as a joke. Whether I would be pissed depends on how much I like the person.
