Guy's Behavior

How would you take it?

So me and my boyfriend just got a new car and I don't really feel like it's our car I feel like it's his car like I still have to ask to use it. so I asked to use it to go to the doctor and he catches an attitude and says that it's a real inconvenience for him because he has all his work stuff in the Jeep. mind you his work stuff is a flashlight a pin and a notebook one that you stick in your back pocket. Well that's why I wanted to get my own car so that way I wouldn't have to ask or wouldn't need that car to be able to go to the doctors and stuff. But he keeps saying no its our car. I dont know if im just taking things the weong way or not. Am I wrong for thinking or feeling that he's being rude or making it seem like I'm troubling him when he is the one who said that it was our car and that I could take it whenever I needed it? Its making me feel like it's a bother and I'm not even wanting to ask anymore.
