How do I go from being independent living on my own to a submissive housewife?

So I’m met a man and we are both wanting a traditional relationship. He wants to pay all the bills and haves not work and just stay in his place cooking cleaning and eventually have babies too.

I’ve wanted this for so long. Years. I finally met a man that wants this too.

I’ve cooked a lot some time ago but I’m not an expert. I had to teach myself because my mom wasn’t traditional so she never believed she had to show me how to be a traditional woman.

So I’m a little nervous because we are marrying in a few months. I want to get up everyday and cook for him breakfast and dinner and lunch. I just want tips and reassurance. :)

Reassurance I can give because you will be fine. First of all you are marrying in a few months so he already likes you enough. Second of all, people need to grow in their role and if he's the understanding type he will understand you won't be an expert right away.

Very, very carefully. Giving up your career is not easily reversed, particularly after some years off the job market.

You can certainly learn to cook if you are interested. It's not that hard to put a decent mean on the table.

Just watch lots of cooking videos, have cookbooks, and practice. Be practicing that before y'all get married and move in together and it should be fine.

When I was 34, I had to finally give up my dream of getting a PhD and I was working as a contractor. Finally, truly on my own with no women in my life. So, it was time to learn to cook more than toast or spaghetti or eggs. I won two office pools in the spring of `997: one for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and one for the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. With my winnings, I bought:
1. A food processor.
2. A crock pot
3. The new 1997 edition of Joy of Cooking.
I took it from there and never looked back.

Often you can get older copies of Joy of Cooking in used book stores or antique stores. In fact, many people COLLECT old editions. I have the 1997 and 1975 which we bought at an antique store a few years ago. The 1975 version is the most popular version of the book.

I was dependent on my parents for the longest. So it’s not going to be weird to depend on someone. I guess I’m just nervous because I never had to cook for someone everyday.

Have take out night once a week or go out, it’s hard to come up with new things often but relax, it should be fine

Thank you. I asked him to get me cooking lessons and he said yes but at first obviously I will have to just do things on my own. He likes meat a lot too which I don’t have a lot of experience with. I know men eat a lot more than women too so it’s like I’d have to make more food than if it was just for me. What kind of meals should I make for lunch and dinner?
